Are you looking for tips on traveling to the Grand Canyon National Park with your baby? I am excited to share my tips regarding weather, strollers and carriers, do-able trails and viewpoints, family-friendly lodging, National Park dining with a baby. The Grand Canyon is absolutely stunning, and it is a bucket list item for many people. Our baby girl recently got to cross it off of her list (although I don’t think she realizes it yet!), after our family enjoyed 24 hours there in December. Although our time there was brief, we loved exploring the South Rim of the Grand Canyon during the winter, and it was the perfect time…

Self-Guided Walking Tour of Beaufort, SC
Are you looking at spending a day in the beautiful city of Beaufort, SC? I’m sharing a detailed self-guided walking tour guide, so you can explore this South Carolina city’s most beautiful spots on foot. Our family spent two amazing weeks on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina, and we loved taking day trips to nearby beautiful Southern cities that were full of charm and history. Beaufort was one of our favorite day trips from Hilton Head Island, and since it was just 35 miles away and less than an hour drive, it was also one of the easiest day trips. While researching the city, I knew that I wanted…

Visiting Utah’s National Parks: Zion, Arches, & Bryce Canyon
The National Parks in Southern Utah are incredible! They have a unique beauty to them that I haven’t experienced anywhere else. My husband and I took an unforgettable, amazing road trip through Southern Utah (and Colorado), where we explored the awesome Narrows at Zion National Park, the perfect sandstone arches at Arches National Park, and the unique hoodoos at Bryce Canyon National Park. We lived in Orange County, California, so we started our road trip from home. We left in the evening after work and drove to Las Vegas for the night before driving to Zion National Park the next morning. We spent a couple of amazing days there, headed to…

How to Hike the Narrows at Zion
Of all the national parks my husband and I have visited together, Zion National Park is one of our favorites. It is located in southwest Utah and its red cliffs are absolutely stunning (everything we hoped for and more!). We visited the park for two days during our road trip across southern Utah, and we knew long before we visited that we wanted to spend a day hiking the Narrows while we were there. The Narrows (a narrow gorge) is a hike that requires you to wade through the Virgin River, between canyon walls that are a thousand feet tall. Sound awesome?! It is! You can wade around the river…

5 Reasons to Visit the Grand Canyon in the Winter
The Grand Canyon is a popular bucket list destination- and for good reason! It is stunning. My husband, baby girl, and I recently spent 24 hours on the South Rim (the North Rim is closed during the winter months). I had never been to the Grand Canyon in the winter, and it was perfect! The summer months are the busiest at Grand Canyon National Park, but there are several reasons to stop by in the winter. We were there December 22-23 (the weekend right before Christmas), which is supposedly their winter “peak” days, but it was hardly crowded at all. The weather was cool, but we were comfortably prepared. The…

How to Spend 36 Hours in Killarney, Ireland
Dreaming of the perfect Irish town? I highly recommend spending time in Killarney, Ireland. My husband and I spent 36 hours in Killarney as part of our two week trip to Ireland and England. It was perfect, and we wish we had allowed for more time there. We did not want to leave, and we have dreamed about going back ever since! Killarney is home to the stunning Gap of Dunloe, Torc Waterfall, Muckross House, Ross Castle, and more. It is a great stop along the Ring of Kerry and is just a short drive away from the Dingle Peninsula loop. I cannot recommend this town and its surrounding area…

4 Packing Must-Haves for Easy Travel
Packing. People seem to either love it or hate it. I am the type of person who loves it, but only if I’m able to stay organized. I can’t stand an overflowing suitcase, where everything is mixed together. Often a suitcase is nice and tidy when you first pack it but then a tornado seems to take over by the end of your trip. You can’t find that cute sundress you packed for your last night out (or you found it, but it’s a wrinkled mess), your dirty clothes are mixed with your clean clothes, and your toiletries have leaked. Just typing this intro causes me stress! Here are my…
