Exploring London with Keetoo

London is one of my favorite cities! My husband and I love that it is filled with rich history, beautiful palaces, and relaxing gardens. Our family (including our 1 year old daughter) recently spent a few days in London as part of our two week trip to the United Kingdom, and we were absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Keetoo while we were there!

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post. We only recommend products and services that we love!

Keeto is an app (for both iPhones and Androids) that gives you incredible discounts on major London attractions. With Keetoo, you can save quite a bit of money by simply downloading their app. After downloading the app, you can purchase a Day Tripper pass for an adult for £35 (or £20 for a child). A Day Tripper will get you into 2 major attractions and give you a free starter or dessert at a restaurant. I go into more detail about how great of a deal this is below.

I’m excited to share about how we explored London with Keetoo. Keep reading for details of our time in London and for more information on the app!

Exploring London with Keetoo

Hampton Court Palace & Gardens

My husband and I had planned to visit Hampton Court Palace and Gardens on this trip to London (it’s one palace that we hadn’t visited in London yet, and we really wanted to take our toddler to Magic Garden!), so we were thrilled to find that it was available on the Keetoo app.

Hampton Court Palace is truly beautiful, and it is a lovely escape from the busy city. After checking in and receiving our admission tickets, we headed to the Rose Garden and the Tiltyard Cafe for lunch while our daughter napped. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and the whole experience was peaceful.

After lunch, our daughter was still sleeping, so we decided to head into the actual palace. The palace is technically wheelchair accessible (which means it is also stroller accessible), but we have found that it’s much easier to skip the stroller in palaces and stick to baby carriers. It is nice to have the freedom to go up and down the stairs as needed and avoid having to travel out of our way for the lifts. We are so excited to learn that Hampton Court offers a “Buggy Park and Family Room”! This room is filled with large lockers to store your stuff (it costs £1 to lock it). We were even able to store our ZOE XLC stroller inside!

We loved our time inside the palace, learning about King Henry VIII and his family (we love history), but it was the outdoor courtyards and the gardens that really caught our attention! We first visited the peaceful Great Fountain Garden.

After our daughter woke up, we headed to the Magic Garden, which a play area for kids. It really felt magical, and I highly recommend that families check it out when visiting London.

We ended our day at the Maze, which is the oldest hedge maze in Great Britain (over 300 years old). We let our daughter guide us through it and had a blast!

The Original Tour (Hop On/Hop Off Bus)

To be perfectly honest, I’ve never done a hop on/hop off bus tour, and I never really had plans to check one out. But when I saw it on the list of options with Keetoo, I decided that we should give it a try, because I knew our daughter would love it.

The Original Bus Tour operates open-top double-decker buses in London. We chose to board at Coventry Street (Piccadilly Circus) and to hop on and off at St. Paul’s Cathedral, Tower Bridge, and Westminster Bridge. Our daughter was very excited to ride a bus for the first time, and we enjoyed learning a lot of fun (and humorous) facts from London from our sight-seeing guide as we rode through some of London’s busiest streets.

Bonus: The Thames River Cruise!

We were surprised and excited to find out that we were eligible to receive free Thames River Cruises passes with our Original Tour tickets that we received through the Keetoo app. We boarded our cruise near Tower Bridge at Tower Millennium Pier and enjoyed a leisurely, fascinating ride down the Thames River to Westminster Bridge. It was a lot of fun, we learned more fun facts about London, and it wound up being a highlight of our day!

Dinner at Ned’s Noodle Bar

When I looked through Keetoo’s restaurant options, I was excited to find that Ned’s Noodle Bar offers several gluten-free options. I was able to build my own box, make several adjustments to accommodate my food allergies, and fully enjoy my delicious Thai green curry! My husband loved his Chinese BBQ noodle box and our free starters – through the Keetoo app (vegetarian spring rolls and chicken gyoza). We highly recommend eating here if you love Asian cuisine!

More About the Keetoo App (& Why I Recommend It!)

The Discounts are Incredible

Let me break down how great of a deal this is! We chose to visit Hampton Court Palace and Gardens and take the Original Bus Tour with our Day Tripper passes. Hampton Court Palace costs £21.30 per adult (that is £42.60 for a couple!). The Original Bus Tour costs £34 per adult (that is £68 for a couple!). We also enjoyed dinner at Ned’s Noodle Bar and received £7.80 worth of free starters. That comes to £118.40 for the two of us at the cost of £70 for two Day Tripper passes (£35 each). That is a savings of £48.40! For my friends traveling from the USA, that currently translates to $61.55. That is a huge discount, and it makes my heart so happy to share this with you! Why pay more when you don’t have to?

They Work with Several Major Attractions (& the List is Growing!)

Keetoo works with several major attractions in London- places that you likely already want to visit! Before partnering with Keetoo, we had already planned to spend a day at Hampton Court Palace and Gardens and pay the full admission fee for two adults (imagine our delight when we found out that we wouldn’t have to!). Last time we were in London, Kensington Palace and the Tower of London were two of our highlights, and both are available through Keetoo! You can also visit Wembley Stadium, Jack the Ripper Museum, and Chelsea Physic Garden. We chose to try out the Original Tour, but they offer other tour options too. Keeto is actively working to add more attractions to their list – so keep an eye out for more possibilities.

The App is Easy-to-Use & Flexible

The app is very easy to use. Simply download it for free (on your  iPhone or Android), purchase your Day Tripper pass(es), and then select the attractions and restaurant of your choice. You’ll activate it on the app and then show your phone when you arrive in lieu of payment. I was pleased to find that each destination we visited seemed to know about the app and scanned us in right away with ease. Once you visit your first attraction, you have 48 hours to visit your second attraction.

In my opinion, using the Keetoo app for exploring London is an absolute must. It’s easy to use and a fantastic value. Whether you’re a local looking to spend time exploring your city or a traveler from afar (like us!), you are sure to enjoy its perks!

Keetoo provided our family with two adult day tripper passes. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I would love to hear from you! Have you been to London? Or do you hope to visit soon? What attractions are must-sees for you?

I’m glad to know this app exists – so useful considering London is super expensive city! I also like how Keetoo provides restaurants with gluten free options considering it’s super rare to find it in menus. I’m going to check this app out – I’m sure I can use it for other destinations besides London! Thanks for the reco!
